Awww thanks all! x I cant wait for it, my camera will be working overtime thats for sure. I cant turn the clock back but I can make sure that from here on in things are different and that JW will never get their claws into him like they did me.

I havent actively celebrated his birthday for the 6 years I was studying. I need to make it up to him. Im ashamed looking back that I chose to ignore his special day for so long all because some dude had his head chopped at a birthday bash thousands of years ago.
Hes an avid Star Wars fan and Halo Reach?.....so Ive splashed out about £200 for all the latest stuff and bought him a clone trooper outfit, cant wait to see his little face light up! I owe him. Big time.
Never again will JW dictate to me how I choose to show love to my children.

have you ever noticed what the elders say when a depressed person commits suicide?.
i unfortunately knew of two people in my area, one a guy about my age, the other was in his mid 40's that commited suicide.
both times, at their memorials, the elders from stage said that they were home alone and was cleaning their hand gun/ rifle when it accidently fired and killed them.
Oh God the post about the lady who killed herself because she couldn t face the shame of a JC makes me so angry. Bastards.
A neighbour of mine killed himself, hubby and me found him dangling from the stairs. I asked my study teacher would he be ressurected and she said yes, all his sins had died with him. (He was mentally ill and had a drug problem).
But she told me I was not to go on rollercoasters or bungi jumping as my life was precious and I would want to put myself in danger out of respect for the life Jehovah had given me. Total tool.

i don't hesitate to bring up with the girl i study with, my criticisms of the religion, and one of those is the association.
i keep reading on here that jw's don't make friends outside the cult, and this is what i used as an excuse for stepping further away from being baptized.
she tells me it's not true, and they can have what ever friends they want.
HI! I too suffer with panic attacks (11 years), and was a study for 6 years. I joined this forum when it was obvious to the JW that they had no further use for me (couldnt go out on feild service due to agoraphobia). They dumped me. But not before successfully isolating me from most of my worldly friends.
One of my friends was a practicing pagan you see, and while they didnt say "You are NOT allowed" they are very subtle in their use of language, and leave it with you to drop your mates. I did it because I was fearful of God.
I lost so much because of them.
The look on my little boys face when I told him daddy wouldnt be with us after armaggedon as he didnt believe in Jehovah....he cried for hours. They are a bunch of lying hypocrites. RUN dont walk away from this destructive cult that TEARS FAMILIES APART, PROTECTS PEODOPHILES, AND ITS ROTTEN FROM THE ROOTS UP! My panics did increase for a while, but with lots of support on this forum, 6 monthes on my life is so much better and Im finding that YES THERE IS LIFE AFTER THEM, AND FRIENDS, GOOD FRIENDS WHO LOVE ME UNCONDITIONALLY!!! i cant believe how amazing i now feel as opposed to how aweful my life was but 4 months ago.. after some careful consideration, i decided to be gay despite being a jw.. the moment i chose this course, my life became so positive and i noticeably felt happy again.. 3 months ago i met a lovely man who took an interest in me.
one week ago we decided it was time to become boyfriends.. well, i feel incredible.
all i can say is that this course of life based on my being true to myself, despite the fact that it contradicts what i have been brought up to believe, has made life worth living again.. despite being gay, and slowly coming out to those who matter to me, i also have come to realise how flawed this organisation is anyway.. im a keen bible student but i dont see the organisations claim to authority.. to be honest, ill be glad to get out of it and start living my life as happily as i can whilst still trying my best to serve god.. thanks to those who supported me and of course to my boyfriend 'jackal' who joined this forum in order to understand what has made up my entire upbringing!.

a tad naive-sounding for someone with a background in it, i know, but it's taken me this long just to feel comfortable enough to type 'jw' into google.
